Five injured in grenade explosion at Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa

Five people were injured in a suspected grenade explosion at Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa, Malawi. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening near the camp's main market. One of the victims, Butoyi Fedeli, a 54-year-old refugee leader from the Burundi Community, was chatting with his secretary, Bruno Ndaishime, outside his office when a person threw an unknown object at them, believed to be a grenade. Fedeli sustained cuts and fractures on both legs, while Ndaishime was injured on both legs and on the back. Three other people passing by the scene were also injured and were taken to the hospital. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.
