There is Hope Celebrates Graduation of 106 Vocational Learners

There is Hope Programme Manager, Doreen Fatshi, who has reaffirmed the importance of professional skills in driving self-reliance and national development. She shared this on Friday during a graduation ceremony for 106 learners from the July–December 2024 vocational training cohort.

The graduates completed six-month training programmes in bricklaying, fabrication and welding, solar photovoltaic installation, carpentry and joinery, plumbing, and tailoring and fashion design. The training equips youth from Dzaleka and surrounding communities with skills that open doors to employment and entrepreneurship.

Speaking to Yetu FM, Fatshi also raised concerns about the lack of a boys’ hostel, citing security risks as male learners are forced to find accommodation off-campus.

Guest of honour Jack Morisho praised There is Hope’s commitment to technical education, stressing that Malawi's development depends on investing in practical skills and empowering the youth.
