Dzaleka Women Farmers Reap Success Through Agriculture

Over the past year, 30 women in Dzaleka Refugee Camp have boosted their livelihoods through farming, earning over MWK 1.4 million from vegetable and goat sales. Each woman earned an average of MWK 265,000 while improving food security and nutrition for their family.

Supported by Soferes and funded by One Day’s Wages, the women have completed two harvests of maize, beans, tomatoes, Chinese cabbage, and more—now preparing for a third. Improved diets and increased income are helping entire households thrive.
