Inua Advocacy Donates Paper to Support Education at Dzaleka CDSS

As part of World Refugee Day commemorations, Inua Advocacy has donated 45 reams of paper to Dzaleka Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) to help ease critical shortages affecting students' learning.

The donation was handed over during a visit by the organisation to the school. Apatsa Mangwana Mhango, Inua Advocacy’s Programs Manager, said the gesture is part of their continued effort to support refugee education and improve conditions for learners at the camp.

“We understand the challenges these students face. Access to basic materials like paper should not be one of them,” said Mhango.

Brian Banda, a teacher at Dzaleka CDSS, welcomed the donation, describing it as timely and impactful. “We’ve had serious shortages. This will help, especially as we prepare for exams,” he said. He also urged other organisations and individuals to support the school, noting that many needs remain unmet.

Liziki Fatuma, a Form 3 student, shared her relief: “We were worried about how we would print our exams. This donation has lifted a burden.”

Inua Advocacy is a non-governmental organisation working to defend and promote the rights of refugees and asylum seekers in Malawi.
