Dr Kabambe Promises Economic Reforms and Poverty Eradication if Elected

During a series of stopover rallies in Dowa, UTM party presidential hopeful Dr Dalitso Kabambe pledged to prioritise efforts aimed at eradicating poverty, ending hunger, and reviving Malawi’s struggling economy if elected into government.

Speaking at Msakambewa after conducting meetings from Dowa Turn-Off through Dzaleka Market, Dr Kabambe announced that a UTM-led government would allocate K500 billion annually towards modernising agriculture, reviving old fertiliser factories, establishing new ones, and developing the mining sector to create jobs and drive national development.

He also revealed that Dowa District Council would receive K100 billion each year for infrastructure projects such as road construction, building schools and hospitals, and equipping health centres.

Despite laying out these ambitious plans, Dr Kabambe urged Malawians to vote for UTM so that they could collectively fix the economic crisis gripping the nation.

“This country’s economy can rise again — but only if there is an economist at the helm,” he stated.

The rallies concluded at Msakambewa Market after passing through key trading centres, including Dzaleka.
