Tumaini Festival has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help fund this year’s edition of the globally recognised arts and culture festival held in Dzaleka Camp. The campaign aims to keep the festival free and accessible while continuing to showcase refugee talent and stories.
Since 2014, Tumaini has stood out as the only festival in the world held inside a refugee camp, welcoming thousands of attendees from Malawi and beyond. The festival is powered by volunteers, and artists perform without pay, making public donations essential to its success.
Organisers stated:
“Tumaini Festival is a celebration of humanity, resilience, and shared creativity. Every contribution helps us continue telling stories that matter.”
Supporters are encouraged to donate via tinyurl.com/tumaini2025 and share the campaign widely.
