Dzaleka Health Workers End Strike After Salary Payments

Health workers under the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) at Dzaleka Health Centre are set to resume work on Wednesday following the payment of their delayed salaries.

The staff had gone three months without pay, leading them to stage a three-week strike that disrupted services at the facility.

One of the health workers, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the development and thanked the media for highlighting their welfare concerns.

The Dzaleka Health Centre plays a critical role in the community, serving over 700 patients daily from both the refugee camp and surrounding host areas.
