The Internet Society Foundation has awarded USD 40,000 to Let’s Be Transformed (MAGUFINA) to deploy a community network connecting 12 anchor institutions across Dzaleka Refugee Camp. This project is projected to bring Internet access to more than 8,000 households, covering 85% of camp residents. Additionally, the initiative includes training local technicians for network installation and maintenance and forming a community-led management committee to oversee operations.
MAGUFINA is one of several grantees selected through the Foundation’s “Connecting the Unconnected” program, which supports local organizations and communities in building or expanding Internet infrastructure in underserved, rural, remote, or low‑income areas.
