Good Neighbors Malawi Donates $1.187M in Medical Supplies to Dzaleka Health Centre


Good Neighbors Malawi has donated 2,260 packages of essential medical drugs—valued at $1.187 million—to Dzaleka Health Centre in Dowa District. During the handover, Country Director Daeseon Ko reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to improving health and livelihoods in Dzaleka, emphasizing support for Malawi’s goal of universal health coverage.


The donation includes vital medicines such as Mebendazole, Doxycycline, Omeprazole, Silver Sulfadiazine, Albendazole, and Carbamazepine. Ko also highlighted the impact of their Supplementary Feeding Program, which has supported over 600 malnourished children and pregnant or lactating women.


Dowa District Medical Officer Dr. Ronald Mhango praised the gesture, noting its importance for both refugee and host communities. Clinical Officer Lonely Kaponda urged further support to meet rising healthcare demands.
