Welt Hunger Hilfe (WHH) Dzaleka WASH Officer, Lefted Kanyika, has called on zone leaders to take a leading role in promoting water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices within their communities.
Kanyika made the appeal on Monday during a communication strategies workshop designed to strengthen sustainable WASH solutions in Dzaleka and surrounding areas.
Speaking to Yetu FM, Kanyika explained that WHH is implementing a sustainability-driven approach that will empower residents of Dzaleka to manage their own WASH and sanitation systems.
According to Kanyika, this model is intended to ensure that essential services such as water supply and sanitation continue even during periods without external funding.
