WUSC Reaffirms Commitment to Empowering Dzaleka Residents

The World University Service of Canada (WUSC) has reiterated its dedication to supporting residents of Dzaleka through entrepreneurship initiatives.

Chief Executive Officer Steve Mason made the pledge on Thursday during his visit to the settlement, where he engaged with participants of the DREEM Artery Project.

In an interview with Yetu FM, Mason emphasized that WUSC recognizes the challenges faced by refugees and remains committed to addressing some of these difficulties through its programs.

During the visit, one of the project beneficiaries, Muriel Ilunga, called on WUSC to broaden its entrepreneurship efforts. Ilunga highlighted the importance of expanding such programs to strengthen refugee self-reliance, particularly under the current encampment policy.
