Acting High Commissioner Rebecca Fabrizi and Development Director Ben Nicholson recently visited Dzaleka to witness how UK aid is supporting access to food and nutrition.
Through a partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) Malawi, over 58,000 people are receiving monthly cash transfers to purchase food. This initiative is helping restore dignity and improve livelihoods for households that cannot earn a living.
In addition, more than 3,000 children are benefiting from nutrition top-ups, ensuring they receive the nourishment needed to grow and thrive.
Fabrizi emphasized the importance of continued support, noting that while progress is being made, the needs remain significant. Nicholson highlighted the UK’s commitment to working alongside partners to strengthen resilience and inclusion.
The visit underscores how international partnerships can make a tangible difference, providing not only immediate relief but also long-term hope for families in Dzaleka.
