FIFA Foundation Assesses Impact of Coaching Programme at Dzaleka

The Dzaleka Sport Association has received a courtesy visit from the FIFA Foundation at its offices in Dzaleka Refugee Camp. The visit focused on assessing the impact of the 2024 FIFA‑supported training programme, which equipped coaches from various sporting disciplines with skills through the FIFA D coaching course.

During a briefing with the delegation, Dzaleka Sport Association Coordinator Christian Babwine highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation with the Dowa District Sports Association and the Football Association of Malawi (FAM). He said improved collaboration would support the development and promotion of different sports disciplines within Dzaleka.

Babwine also commended the FIFA Foundation for planning a refresher training programme. He explained that the initiative will help coaches from Dzaleka and surrounding areas obtain CAF C coaching certificates, creating opportunities for them to pursue coaching roles both locally and internationally.

He further encouraged supporters of all sports disciplines to uphold sportsmanship and avoid actions that violate established sports protocols.
