Dzaleka Online is inviting refugee journalists, writers, and storytellers to help report the stories that matter most to the community.
We are looking for contributors who are interested in covering breaking news, community updates, feature stories, culture, youth voices, local events, and the everyday realities of life in Dzaleka. Our goal is simple: to make sure stories from the camp are told by people who know the community, understand the context, and see what is happening on the ground.
We believe some of the most important stories come from the people closest to them. Writers and reporters from within the community bring knowledge, perspective, and understanding that help make stories more relevant, honest, and meaningful.
Dzaleka.com wants to create more space for that kind of journalism in Dzaleka.
This call is open to refugee journalists, aspiring writers, and community storytellers who want to inform others, highlight important issues, and share stories from inside the camp. Whether you already have experience in journalism or are just starting out with a passion for writing, your voice can help build stronger community reporting.
Contributors may write about a wide range of topics, including education, leadership, business, youth initiatives, culture, local concerns, human stories, public issues, and developments that affect daily life in Dzaleka. We are especially interested in stories that are timely, relevant, and grounded in what people in the community are experiencing.
By working with journalists and writers who know the community well, Dzaleka.com hopes to encourage more reporting from inside Dzaleka and support stories that reflect the realities, challenges, and progress of everyday life.
Contributors who join this effort will have the opportunity to share their work on Dzaleka.com, grow their writing experience, and help keep the community informed through stories that matter.
Anyone interested in contributing as a writer or reporter is invited to send an expression of interest by email to dzalekaconnect@gmail.com.
Subject line:
