Respite Care Center through its Parents Association of Children with Disabilities (PACD) recently organized a recreational and learning visit to African Village Project (AVP) to encourage inclusion, social interaction, and awareness among children living with disabilities.
According to RCC-PACD Coordinator, Frank Djuma Msambya, the visit created an opportunity for children to participate in educational and recreational activities while interacting with others in a safe and welcoming environment.
Msambya also thanked African Village Project for warmly hosting the group and supporting efforts that promote inclusion for children of different abilities.
Speaking during the event, AVP Coordinator Hilda Katema said the organization was pleased to welcome children and staff members from RCC-PACD for the exchange visit.
“At AVP Recreational Playground, we believe every child deserves a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment where they can learn, play, and interact freely,” said Katema.
She added that the visit highlighted the importance of partnerships in promoting awareness, inclusion, and equal opportunities for children living with disabilities.
Yetu FM understands that 42 children and 15 staff members from RCC-PACD participated in the visit, which focused on creating hope, inclusion, and positive experiences for refugee children.
