CorpsAfrica Malawi Reserves Volunteer Positions for Refugee Youth

CorpsAfrica Malawi has reserved 10 percent of positions in its 10th volunteer cohort for refugees, with a focus on young people living in Dzaleka.

The organisation is recruiting 95 young people to serve in rural and underserved communities across Malawi.

CorpsAfrica Malawi Country Director Wongani Mugaba said inclusion and youth leadership are important to national development. He said the decision to reserve positions for refugees reflects the organisation’s commitment to including displaced people in community development work.

Acting Commissioner for Refugees Ivy Chihana welcomed the initiative and said partnerships are important in advancing inclusive and sustainable development.

CorpsAfrica works with young Africans through volunteer service and community-led development projects.
