The Central East Division Chairperson of the Independent Schools Association of Malawi (ISAMA), Henry Dzinkambani, has called on private school directors in Dzaleka to foster teamwork in order to meet government educational standards.
Dzinkambani made the remarks on Friday during an interface meeting organised by the Refugee Independent School Association (RISA). The meeting aimed to address challenges faced by private schools operating in the education sector.
Speaking to Yetu FM, Dzinkambani emphasised ISAMA’s commitment to ensuring that private schools adhere to national educational standards through school visits. He urged directors to hire qualified teachers to prevent school closures by the Teacher Council of Malawi (TCM).
RISA Chairperson, Pascal Bagaluza, welcomed ISAMA’s initiative and reaffirmed his association’s dedication to improving education in Dzaleka. He also urged school directors to eliminate gender-based violence and prioritise creating a conducive learning environment aligned with the academic syllabus.
Bagaluza further called on key education stakeholders to recognise the efforts of private schools in Dzaleka, which contribute significantly to Dowa district’s overall academic performance.
