Pre-STEM students in Dzaleka recently came together to discuss what it means to be human, highlighting values of solidarity, respect, and love.
“Being human is solidarity, how we treat each other with respect, love, and kindness. What I do for you, I expect you to do the same for me. It is not possessions that define who we truly are, but the things we do for others,” said Jordan, a Pre-STEM student.
The session encouraged students to reflect on the values that guide their daily choices, their relationships with others, and the importance of offering service to their community.
“Education helps us understand the meaning of peace and how to bring it into our society,” added Baptistar, another Pre-STEM student. “It is the foundation for better lives and a community where everyone has the chance to grow.”
Through this dialogue, the students emphasised that education, compassion, and respect are central to building stronger communities both within and beyond Dzaleka.
